Sony has thought to release a follower for his previous eBook reader. Aren’t things gong too far?You can see eBooks on the iPhone or eBooks on our laptops, but a standalone reader is just too esoteric and niche to really go far. This thing may work but I don’t really think that will have a chance.

This isn’t the first time we see Sony’s latest eBook reader, the PRS-505 but things needed to be official so here’s comes its official release. Available “this month” for in silver and dark blue, Sony’s 500-followup features a new electronic paper display that is more responsive with a better contrast than its predecessor while offering expansion for both Memory Stick Duo or SD memory cards.It can hold 160 eBooks and loads in USB mass storage mode, bypassing crappy sideloading software. The new USB Mass Storage mode allows for a lickity-quick transfer of files when connected to your PC.

This being said for all those who are eager to purchase such a device( you really can’t think of a better way to spend your cash?), will be available in the U.S. later with a price tag of $300.
