This funny looking disco ball may seem pretty harmless at a first glance, but as you know, don’t judge things only after a first impression. I’m sure that your neighbours wouldn’t think of it as an innocent device.Why’s that? Because it can make sounds…loud sounds…very loud sounds coming from everywhere.

The designer who’s behind this whole story is Pieter Maes. He is the man who thought of this odd speaker concept, design that looks sure to annoy every neighbour in your vicinity, and impress friends at the same time.

The numerous speaker cones are joined together in the center of this football-esque piece of tech-art, allowing sound to be projected in every direction. Odd, really since sound waves tend to travel and bounce in every direction possible. Not surprisingly, this is only a prototype, and not one I anticipate going into production any time soon.

Though it looks nice and it would be a lovely piece for decorating your high tech room.
