Jawbone- the best Bluetooth headset out there

imgp5006.JPGJawbone- the best Bluetooth headset out there

The Jawbone is a great Bluetooth headset. It was rated as the best in its kind. Ever. This is what you can find out on their website. It passed the toughest test such a device can have : the streets of NYC.

Let’s start with the “Noise Shield”. Having this option on/off is like night and day. For those on the other end it was a pleasant experience so long as it was turned on. Any noise other than the voice was eliminated immediately. And I’m not talking about birds chirping or anything pleasant. We’re talking about cars roaring by honking their horns and all sorts of other loud and obnoxious sounds that reverberate throughout the streets of Manhattan. Once it was turned off, the noise was overwhelming and your voice was no longer the center of attention. Of all the Bluetooth headsets this is by far the best at blocking out excessive noise.

You can find it in on three colours: black, silver and red. It looks rather interesting and it is for sure a style statement. Without a doubt it is the best noise canceling Bluetooth headset out on the market. Now, I know it’s been out there for a while. It’s readily available for $120, but I’m sure you can find it elsewhere for cheaper.

Tho new sweets from Nokia: N78 and N96

scalednokia-n78_01.jpgTho new sweets from Nokia: N78 and N96
Source

With all these news about cellphones it’s obvious that we also have something from Nokia . Here comes the Finnish producers out of the gate with a set of two N-Series devices, the N96 and the N78. Both of these should be available in the U.S., so that’s the first plus, and they’re priced at a premium, so that’s the first minus.

The N78 (350 euros or about $400) has a 3.2-megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics and support for microSD. It has A-GPS for geotagging and supports Nokia’s Share on Ovi media sharing system.

The N96 is considerably hotter with a sexy 2.8-inch screen and 16GB of internal memory. It will cost 550 euros ($600+) and supports Wi-Fi and HSDPA. The player supports MPEG-4, WMV, and Flash video. It’s got a 5-megapixel camera and video-capture at 30 fps.

No question about it, the N78 and the N96 are the heavies in Nokia’s Mobile World Congress announcements, but there are a couple gems on the lower end, too — if you can really call a navigation-ready handset and a 5 megapixel smartphone “lower end.”- the 6220 and 6210.

Sony Ericsson’S W980 Alona

sony_w980-thumb.jpgSony Ericsson’S W980 Alona

Hot on the heels of the new Xperia range and extended Cyber-shot family, Sony Ericsson has added to its popular Walkman range with the W980.

Today at MWC Sony Ericsson officially announced the Alona, which will be sold under the W980 moniker. The latest Walkman phone brings 8GB of internal storage, superior sound quality, which is supposed to be true to the original recording( the handset packs new audio enhancing technology, ‘clear stereo’, which makes playback closer than ever to the original recording and ‘clear bass’ for distortion free sound even at higher volumes). Also built-in is an FM transmitter that allows you to send whatever you’re listening to to any other device that has an FM receiver. That’s a pretty nifty feature. SE Walkman phones are generally good and this looks to be a great addition that has a 3.2-megapixel camera with 3.2x digital zoom, TrackID, Shake control, stereo Bluetooth, video streaming, video calling and it appears that you can tether it as well.

A little bit of “SOUL” from Samsung

sa.JPGA little bit of “SOUL” from Samsung

The colleagues from CrunchGear got their hands on a new phone that is to be released bu Samsung. The new handset is named Samsung soul and it got a good review. They got a moment to play with the Samsung Soul and they were pleases with the initial screens — everything works very well through the haptic directional pad and the screen is very crisp and bright. It has a 5-megapixel camera and will be coming out on Vodafone in Europe, no word yet about a US launch.

Obviously this is “just another slider” but they’re doing quite a few interesting things with the Interface which warrants a second look. The haptics work very well and the top screen is easy to navigate and use. Once you start digging down you find most of the standard Samsung mobile menus, but for basic functions, including Google Search, Music player, and the File Manager, things work quite smoothly.

Aside the technical specifications, this slider looks rather fancy, with the golden colour and the shinny screen and the touch buttons. So it will sure be a hit among the stylish business women.

I bet you all know how it is to have your cellphone out of battery exactly in the most “desirable” moments. I sure know the feeling as I am a former Nokia 8800 user. This cellphone was absolutely outrageus, I tell you. It’s like it had a detection sensor that knew to low the battery exactly when I was needing it the most

However, those days are gone. It seems that some Chinese manufacturer(it sems that only the Asians bring the good news) created the perfect solution for all those cellphones addicts that eat up the battery with hours of phone converstaions.

Strap-Ya hascreated a small solar cell that retains energy for when your handset is out of battery life. Simply clip it in, and it will give you that power you need. You just hang it on your phone, like an accessory and use it when you are in need.If theres no sun, the solar charger even comes with an AC adapter that allows it to be charged up and used as a spare battery.

If you want to know more about this gadget and you can understand those marvelous chinese symbols they call letter, jut click on this : http://item.rakuten.co.jp/keitai/239-102343/

nuvifone_new1.jpgGarmin has the nuvifone officialSource

Garmin’s GPS-packing mobile, the nüvifone, has been announced. According to Cliff Pemble, the firm’s president and COO, it’s the “breakthrough product that cellphone and GPS users around the world have been longing for.”The actual device won’t be available until the autumn at an undisclosed price with undisclosed partners. Nevertheless, the spec sounds promising and as GPS is increasingly integrated into phones we can only assume that plenty more sat nav manufacturers will be on the case with similar gadgets soon.

The unit features a 3.5″ touchscreen, browser, HSDPA, pre-loaded maps of either North America, or Eastern and Western Europe. In addition Garmin’s claiming “millions” of POIs, a Google-powered local search feature, instant reporting of co-ordinates, built in geotagging camera a la Navpix and an integrated media player. There’s also a handy feature that marks the point at which the device was removed from the dash mount; in other words, it’ll tell you where you parked.

Motorola’s Linux-based “Ming” phones will be getting a next-generation upgrade in the second quarter of 2008, including the introduction of an entry level offering. The first generation of Ming handsets came only as high-end phones. The new entry-level Ming models will apparently be coming to the US later next year. You can currently purchase unlocked GSM Ming phones on Amazon.com and similar sites but from the sounds of it, Motorola’s US division will be producing some specifically for this market.

Some interesting features of the currently available devices include a built-in business card reader, radio, voice recorder, Real Player, Bluetooth, 2-megapixel camera (photos and video), and a pretty small form factor with a flip down cover.

The vibrating Bluetooth bracelet, your new secretary

bracelebluetootht.jpgThe vibrating Bluetooth bracelet, your new secretarySource

Wearing a bluetooth headset usually indicates one of the following: A) you’re a high powered high flier, who is far too busy to find your phone in your bag when it rings. B) You’re a taxi driver. C) You have fat fingers, and can’t press the ‘answer’ key on your phone without mashing the other keys. If you’re none of these, and still want to be assured of knowing when your phone rings without the inconvenience of walking round looking like you’re talking to yourself when you answer, the bluetooth bracelet is for you.

When a call comes in, it discreetly vibrates so you can then delve for your phone and answer it. It also vibrates if you find yourself more than five metres away. It’s perfect for those people who miss calls no matter how loud they set the ringer, and those who need even their jewellery to incorporate some technological element. A three-hour charge will garner you 100 hours of use, and the bracelet is compatible with Bluetooth 1.1, 1.2, and 2.0 — so if it doesn’t work with your phone, it just wasn’t meant to beIt’s also only £30, so it’s perfect for those looking for a cheap Christmas present.

Razr2 V8 Luxury Edition

snakeskin_270×308.jpgRazr2 V8 Luxury Edition

Maybe they’re just freaked out over the iPhone’s success, but other handset makers seem to be getting even a little nuttier than usual lately with their designs. The latest is Motorola, which not only applied the Midas touch to its Razr2 V8 Luxury Edition, but is now making it even more exotic with a faux snakeskin wrapper to complement its 18k and 24k accents, according to BornRich.

So it’s just the old handset, with the same boring features, but with a much higher price tag. Yes, all this because the new and improved version has all sorts of “luxury elements”. The handset offers Bluetooth, a 2-megapixel camera, quadband GSM world phone support, Moto’s CrystalTalk technology, a full HTML browser, and Windows Media Player 11.The price isn’t available yet, but I’m sure is high enough not to even imagine to spend such an amount for a Motorola phone… which is also a RAZR…NO way!
