That’s why you need to get spinning with our ingenious Candy Floss Maker. With this idiot-proof contraption you’ll be making funfair-style candy floss in minutes. Simply add regular granulated sugar and switch it on. That’s all there is to it. Well, almost.

Candy Floss Maker As the machine heats up, the central head begins to spin, forcing liquid sugar through its tiny perforations. The instant the threads of sugar hit the air they cool and re-solidify, causing a web of sugary threads to develop in the dishwasher-friendly collection bowl. All you have to do is gather up the yummy wisps on your candy floss cone and get munching. The whole process is really rather wondrous.

Zune is copied by Chinese companies

The Chinese companies copy zune. Zune is a new product from Microsoft launched against iPOD.

No one accused Microsoft for copying iPod. Anyway… what is your opinion?

The MPF2110 plays MPEG, AVI, AMW, and MTV video formats (what the hell are those last two?), MP3, WAV, and WMA audio, has an FM / voice recording, USB 2.0, a 1.5 or 1.8-inch display, and up to “2GB flash memory chip by Samsung/Hynix, the most reliable.”

JVC Pulsating Sphere Speaker

JVC launched a “revolutionary” speaker. It looks like a sphere with angles.
It is supposed that this gadget it is able to give birth of a sound more natural.

pulsatingspherespeaker.jpg
JVC Pulsating Sphere Speaker

I said this JVC Pulsating Sphere Speaker is “revolutionary” because JVC’s first sphere speaker was from 1967.

Main Features

1. Natural, ideal sound-field reproduction from 12-sided ball-shaped compact speaker
With a diameter of 10 cm, about 4″, the speaker is divided into twelve 5-sided sections. Excluding the bottom, each are driven dynamically by 11 drivers, realizing high-power for the speaker’s compact size. Sound coverage is uniform in every direction in range up to 10 kHz, varying by less than +/-1 dB. This results in an unprecedented natural sound field.

2. Linked diaphragms permit entire speaker surface to act as emitter
The JVC developed linked diaphragm construction utilizes the entire surface of the speaker as an emitter, with eleven 5-sided segments linked only at their edges. This eliminates effects from a frame or cabinet, and results in a clear sound without distortion.

3. Wide, flat frequency range thanks to Weibull-curve diaphragm
The diaphragms have a ‘Weibull curve’ shape optimized using computer analysis. Plastic reinforced with stiffening fibers, flat frequency characteristics and low distortion result in a clear presence without hotspots. This also results in a wide frequency range.

4. Double neodymium magnets give high magnetic-flux density of one Tesla
With two high energy density neodymium magnets, the equal-diameter speakers produce a high magnetic-flux density of one tesla. Thus, thanks to the magnetically held and driven linked-together diaphragms, the speakers reproduce clear sound across a wide range.

5. Orthogonal double-suspension construction stably supports edge-linked diaphragms
The new two layer right-angled orthogonal suspension has good hardness but avoids fixed resonances, leading to highly accurate drives. Using this technology, JVC succeeded in driving the linked diaphragm precisely, as if it were breathing.

Canon PowerShot SD800

The little brother of SD900, Canon PowerShot SD800 packs a steel body with 7.1 megapixel sensor.
Press information from Canon:

The 7.1 megapixel SD800 IS Digital ELPH camera is the second and newest Optical Image Stabilized Digital ELPH model in the PowerShot line, and is now the top-of-the-line Digital ELPH IS entry. Canon based the optical image stabilization system on advancements made in the development of the company’s EF and video lenses, and then scaled it down to fit the diminutive Digital ELPH camera profile. Unlike electronic or “digital image stabilization systems” that typically degrade image quality, Canon’s lens shift-type stabilization system preserves maximum optical quality while providing up to three stops of shake correction in shutter speed equivalent.

This new SD800 IS model features a number of significant advancements, including improved low-light performance due to the combination of optical IS and a top ISO speed of 1600, and for the first time in the Digital ELPH series, an optical 3.8x wide range zoom lens (28-105mm equivalent), which employs Canon’s UA lens technology that permits a longer zoom capability in a smaller amount of space.
The camera’s large, 2.5-inch high resolution LCD screen has been enhanced to approximately 207,000 pixels with a bright, wide, easy to read viewing area and is set attractively into the Digital ELPH’s rugged, stainless steel shell with its iconic perpetual curve design. In keeping with a decade of ELPH philosophy that proclaims, “great things come in small packages,” this pocket-sized photo powerhouse measures just under an inch thick with lens retracted, 2.28 inches high and 3.52 inches long. The Canon PowerShot SD800 IS Digital ELPH carries an estimated selling price of $399.99*.

One Legged Jumping Robot

Toyota has said it has developed a robot leg that can jump like a human’s, an evolution from today’s stiff-jointed machines. The one-meter (3.3-foot) leg has a joint on its toe letting it jump as high as four centimeters (1.6 inches) by bending and stretching its toe and another knee-like joint, Japan’s top automaker said Wednesday.
The Toyota Motor Corp. spokeswoman said:

“This is a basic technology that can be applied to a two-legged robot in future. It was a difficult step for robots. But it was made possible after making a number of prototypes. Besides the joy of jumping about, robots will also be able to run faster and to handle unpaved roads more smoothly.”
